Tea Master Sharyn Johnston founded the organisation in 2011 as its director, and is a specialist business executive with over 25 years of global training experience. Sharyn has worked with some of the world’s leading tea experts to develop the training material used in the Australian Tea Masters Certified Tea Master course.
We are the leading organisation in Australia delivering a Certified Tea Master structured curriculum, training tea professionals in the art of tea mastery. We also provide a variety of other training courses for anyone interested in learning more about tea, including our online foundation course Tea 101, as well as our in-depth Certified Tea Blending course for beginners and advanced tea professionals looking to become premier tea blenders.
We are based locally in Victoria, Australia and host training at venues throughout Australasia as well as throughout the globe. We aim to make our tea courses as accessible as they are informative and engaging.
The specialised group of tea trainers in our team have developed a targeted specific training package that ensures anyone completing tea mastery with us will be confident to deliver tea excellence on completion of the course. We were also an instrumental organisation in developing the Certified Tea Blending course from the ground up, which is now delivered globally.
Australian Tea Masters also strives to provide high-quality tea news and information to the general public through free initiatives such as our newsletter Leaf Hunter, and our social media campaigns.
Upon request, we are able to provide qualified tea speakers who are available to speak with confidence about all aspects of tea. They are willing and ready to speak at events, functions, and media interviews. If you are interested in having one of our speakers for an event, please contact us.
Our organisation also provides many additional professional services, including bespoke tea blending, private label tea blending, and a tea business advisory service. We also sell our own unique and delicious range of herbal- and tea-based blends, which are available both to companies and the general public.
Our aim is to increase the knowledge about and presence of tea in the Australasia region, and we do so by linking in with as many professional educators within the tea industry as possible, as well as working with tea boards all around the world. We want to create a strong professional tea network to enable this corner of the globe to have the highest international standard in tea education.
